Iran deployed medium-range ballistic missiles in Yemen
MOSCOW, (BM) – Iran continues its aggressive actions against Israel, fueling the “cold” war between them in recent decades. Russia’s Aviapro news agency claims that the Iranians have delivered and deployed dozens (some say hundreds – ed.) of ballistic missiles in Yemen.
The Yemeni Houthi rebels are the ultimate recipients of ballistic missiles. They are medium-range, the agency said. This type of missile has a range of at least 2000 km. This missile range means that anyone can easily hit any point in Israel.
Aviapro’s military expert says that by deploying ballistic missiles in Yemen, Iran is not allowing Israel to control possible directions of attack. In recent years, the failures of the US Patriot air defense system could also be a critical factor in a “successful Iranian attack.”
In-depth analyzes and comments from sources in the area suggest that Yemeni rebels are ready to fight on Iran’s side, but not at this time. However, a possible “Israeli aggression” against the Islamic Republic would be why the Houthi rebels got involved in the Iran-Israel proxy war. The Ansar Allah (or Houthi – ed.) movement recently expressed a similar view.
