Pishchal-PRO is the best portable anti-drone system, according to Russia

MOSCOW, (BM) – The arms race is in full swing on the two opposite flanks, Russia and America. The two sides will never stop racing, even if it leads to a global cataclysm. Of course, both countries have reason to claim that they are developing the best weapons in the world.

Such is the case with the Russian hand-held anti-drone system Pishchal-PRO, which according to Vladimir Kabanov, who is the executive director of the plant and the technical bureau that produced the system – Avtomatika. According to him, the Russian hand-held anti-ron system Pishchal-PRO is very powerful, although it is quite light and has an ergonomically unusual shape. Kabanov claims that he is fully acquainted with his competitors and boldly states that his development is the best on the market at the moment.

What is a real Pishchal-PRO? As we have already said, the Pishchal-PRO has a “fragile body” of only 4 kg but has great functional power – the anti-drone system has a function for simultaneous counteraction of several drones and a range of up to 2000 m characteristics of its competitors, there is really no analogue among them. According to Kabanov, the system is certified on various indicators, including safety at work and zero danger to the health of the operator.

As we have repeatedly written today, modern military action, built on the tactics of attack drones, is constantly changing. Recently, in Syria and Libya, the Turks have been testing similar military tactics using swarms of kamikaze drones. According to Kabanov, Russian anti-drone systems and electronic warfare systems deal very successfully with such enemy drone swarms. As he claims, Kupol, Bastion-Avtomatika and Rubezh-Avtomatika are just a small part of the Russian-made anti-drone systems that can take this load and repel an attack by drone swarms.

Kabanov also claims that the height and direction of the attacking drones are not important for his products, because they have radio suppression systems designed to work in similar modes – search, find and eliminate drones flying at different heights and from different directions.

At this stage, we cannot confirm the words of the company’s CEO, as there is no official data that the Pishchal-PRO hand-held anti-drone system has been tested in one of the three hotspots currently around Russia – Libya, Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh, although , most likely if it has been tested, then it is logical that it was done in Syria and it is logical for the time being not to announce the results.

Russia has probably already tested another anti-drone complex in Syria

The newest Russian system for combating unmanned aerial vehicles “Sapsan-Konvoy” of the “Avtomatika” concern will open up colossal export prospects for the Russian Federation, since we are talking about the implementation of a means of defense, which has no analogue in the world yet.

This opinion was shared by a military expert, retired colonel Viktor Baranets, in an interview with the Ekonomika Segodnya newspaper in August this year. The multifunctional complex “Sapsan-Konvoy” is designed to counter attack drones by detecting and jamming satellite systems channels.

At the Army 2020 forum, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, instructed to test it in Syria. That is, specifically in a real combat situation, and not in those close to combat conditions. Baranets has no doubts that in the SAR “Sapsan-Konvoy” will recommend itself from the best side.

SAR “Sapsan-Konvoy” is interesting because it can detect even mini-drones – that is, UAVs, the size of which does not exceed 30 cm. “The so-called” testing “of the best Russian weapons in Syria has become a tradition of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, which confirms the real capabilities of this or that technology. This is becoming the most important test for the armed forces,” Baranets said.

The emergence of the Sapsan-Konvoy mobile multifunctional complex is dictated by new modern conditions and tactics, which are being worked out by many military states. It is assumed that it will be effective in the event of an attack by a swarm of drones. This is one of the most fashionable attack tactics today, which, in fact, became the impetus for the development of many types of new weapons.
