Trump talks about American weapons and says China and Russia are jealous

WASHINGTON, (BM) – Donald Trump is convinced that Russia, China and all other countries are jealous of US weapons. This is not the first time he has made such a statement. In addition, Washington claims that Russia and China are aimed at undermining the US military advantage. At the same time, the United States admits that it lags behind Russia and China in the field of hypersonic weapons.

Russia, China and all other countries are jealous of American weapons, US President Donald Trump is convinced. He expressed this opinion during his speech to supporters in Wisconsin, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

“We have invested $ 2.5 trillion in the US Armed Forces and we have the best military equipment in the world. We are envied all over the world: Russia and China. We are the envy of the whole world. We have the best military equipment in the world, which is produced in the USA, the American leader said.

This is not the first time that the President of the United States has come forward with such a position to his supporters. Last week, he said that his country had upgraded its “nuclear weapons to an unprecedented level.” According to the head of the White House, US hypersonic missiles are “seven times faster” than their counterparts.

Earlier this month, Pentagon chief Mark Esper said that Russia and China are going to undermine American military advantages, in particular through the development of high-precision long-range weapons, systems for restricting and denying access and maneuver, and other asymmetric capabilities designed to “counter American forces.”

“The challenge now facing us is clear. Our close rivals in terms of military power, namely China and Russia, are rapidly modernizing their armed forces, trying to undermine our long-term advantages and shift the balance of power in their favor,” he stressed in his speech on the priorities of the military department in the field of modernization. The United States Department of Homeland Security included the Russian Federation in the list of national threats, RIA Novosti reported, citing a report from the American department.

The document also drew attention to the “actions” of Russia, Iran and China on “interference in elections” and the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. In the middle of last month, Donald Trump expressed the opinion that Russia, China and North Korea are jealous of American weapons, “the likes of which this world has not seen.” According to Trump, in 3.5 years, the United States administration restored the power of the country’s armed forces. In addition, the president denied accusations by “false media”, according to which he was disclosing classified information.

“I’m just telling you that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and Chinese President [Xi] Jinping … Russia, China, North Korea, everyone is jealous of what we are doing,” Trump said. At the same time, the American leader said that new weapons systems were created in the United States that no one else has. “We have systems that nobody knows about. To be honest, it will be better if it stays that way,” the president said.

According to Trump, Washington is building “excellent weapons,” including nuclear weapons. The armed forces of the United States are now “stronger than ever,” the American leader said. In addition, he said, American nuclear weapons “are now in better shape than in recent decades.” At the same time, the American side admits its lag behind Russia and China in the production of hypersonic weapons.

The United States Secretary of Defense said last December that the United States found itself in this area “in the role of catch-up.” For this reason, Mark Esper announced a doubling this year in funding for the development of land, air and sea-based hypersonic munitions. As reported by the American media, today nine projects are being implemented in the interests of the military. In addition, flight tests of several prototypes are scheduled for the current year.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the opinion that the appearance of hypersonic weapons in the Russian Federation made the huge spending of other countries on the containment of Moscow pointless. In an interview with TASS for the project “20 Questions to Vladimir Putin,” the head of state stated that the Russian Federation’s hypersonic weapons allow maintaining strategic balance and stability in the world.
