Turkish Bayraktar TB2 needs no ad, as it’s ruthless against Russian air defense systems
PANAGYURISHTE, (BM) – The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict may not end soon. However, if hostilities cease, it does not mean it will solve a decade-long problem between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Political, social, religious problems will remain.

History remembers many similar cases when a war ends, but the bitter taste in the mouth remains. Don’t you think that soon the world will forget World War II, the Korean War, the war in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and others? We can delve into and list all military conflicts, but that is not the subject of this text.
Wars are a generator of ideas in military engineering and manufacturing. When at some point they run out, all countries draw their own conclusions and start developing, refining or simply producing new military products.
However, there are products that have been developed in peacetime, based on analyzes of past military conflicts or simply acquired new technologies. This is the case with the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones. In the last four days, this Turkish technological marvel has destroyed at least six Russian Osa air defense systems and at least three Russian Strela-10 systems.
But Bayraktar TB2 did not show up to the world in this particular conflict. This Turkish drone has had much success. One of the most memorable are his actions in Syria and Libya over the past 10 months. There, Turkish technology was not forced to confront outdated Russian air defense systems, but those that have been developed in the last decade. Such as Russia’s Pantsir-C1 mobile anti-aircraft missile systems, which Moscow used to call “Pride of Russia” in Syria, are now in garages to upgrade both their radar systems and weapons systems.
There was even a period of civil war in Libya between the Government of National Accord and the Libyan National Army in which Turkish “living” drones struck and disabled one or two obsolete Soviet-Russian air defense systems on a daily basis. During this period, the Russian media raced to refute these successes or to misinform the public that Turkish information was false.
Because when an air defense system cannot cope with its main duty – counteracting attacking aircraft, it does not work properly. There is something confused and inaccurate in it and it needs repair.
And just then, sometime in June this year, Baku decided to start the process of acquiring the Turkish drones Bayraktar TB2. There is no official information that the deal has been completed, but this does not mean that it may have been completed and that both parties simply kept it a secret.
Perhaps along with the Turkish-Azerbaijani exercises this year, the purchase of the Bayraktar TB2 was a second signal that something similar was imminent in Nagorno-Karabakh. But why now?
Because the two greatest forces are looking in other directions. The United States is preparing for a new presidential election, and it is unthinkable for the Trump administration to commit to supporting one of the two countries, while Russia is trying to strengthen its border with Belarus so as to secure Lukashenko in the presidency in the coming years. Europe is generally almost always asleep, and its policies are unclear even to Europeans.
So, yes, Baku has apparently bought Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones, which are proving to be effective weapons against Russian air defense systems.
If we are trying to dissect the Turkish drone, we will have to find its advantages over the enemy. At the moment we can not say exactly where the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 ranks in the ranking of combat attacking drones in the world, but so far it has shown precision, accuracy, accuracy and mobility. Yes, the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 is easily removed from the air, but if so far it has destroyed at least one Russian Panzer-C1 worth nearly $ 15 million. it has fulfilled its purpose more than expected. Because in this way he cleared the way for the real still dangerous Air Force.
After Syria, after Libya, and now in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Turkish drone Bayraktar TB2 is showing its high efficiency, its heavy artillery against defenseless Russian or Soviet air defense systems. Currently Bayraktar TB2 does not need advertising, does not need to present military exhibitions, leaflets, brochures, business meetings and long negotiations.
Turkish drone Bayraktar TB2 sells itself without the need for any advertising.
