US B-52 bombers ‘attacked’ the Kaliningrad region during alliance’s exercise

NEW YORK, (BM) – It is a known fact that Eastern Europe is one of NATO’s weaknesses, especially in the area of countering risky military forces in the Kaliningrad region. According to sources from the Russian Ministry of Defense, as well as journalists from the American publication Forbes, the Pentagon military trained a conditional attack on Kaliningrad and the Kaliningrad region, using American B-52 bombers for this purpose, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

Russia’s “conditional attack” took place as a training scenario on Friday (September 25th – ed.), According to NATO military reports, with US military action involving crossing the corridor between Russia and Belarus and flying over the Baltic Sea. The U.S. journalists also claim that the “conditional attack” began in Britain, where the bombers actually took off, passed through the “attack” corridor, headed for Sweden, and then successfully returned to the British Air Force base in Fairford. .

In this case, according to experts, it is a large-scale military operation coordinated with NATO forces in the region, as the Italian Air Force and their Eurofighter Typhoons escorted the bombers into combat formation while they were flying over Latvian airspace.

It is no secret that Kaliningrad and the region are one of the most dangerous Russian places based on the military maps of the alliance and allies, given that Putin has deployed a large number of S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, anti-aircraft missile systems Wasp, as well as the intercontinental ballistic missile Iskander, about which we have written many times. Many military experts say that drilling this “air defense dome” is impossible and practical, dozens of bombers will be needed to break it.

We remind you that at the end of August this year, three American bombers again carried out “conditional” attacks during an exercise, “firing” cruise missiles in order to hit specific military and administrative sites in the region. This action of the Pentagon was officially announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergei Surovikin.

What the expert said?

BulgarianMilitary.com has learned that retired military expert Lieutenant General Aiteh Bijev has commented on the “American strategy” as a frivolous and “ridiculous” military tactic, contrary to any military logic. “This is not serious. Air defense is designed not on the basis of our capabilities, but on the basis of the capabilities of our opponent.”

The retired Russian general emphasizes one basic fact, which in his opinion “should still be known to the Americans”, namely that the air defense systems and air defense of the commented Russian area is the basis of Russian defense and is centrally integrated into the overall Russian defense. Russia’s air defense system. According to him, if such an attack is carried out, “we will not wait for a cup of tea for the bombers to come. Apart from the air defense systems built by CSTO and Belarus, our fighters will be at the heart of the attack, eliminating this threat.”

The retired Russian general also gave his opinion on the other side of the possible attack. According to him, the United States currently has 140 B-1 and B-2 fighter jets capable of such an attack. But for any success in its intentions, the United States must drop at least 225 aircraft in this class, the expert said.

“These are not just words thrown into space. This is our final conclusion, drawn by our military experts at the center for military and political power,” said Aiteh Bijev.

Bizhiev does not rule out the vast US arsenal, offensive and defensive, and the fact that the United States has allies in the region, but more bombers will be needed to break through Kaliningrad’s air defense systems. The same opinion was expressed by another military analyst, this time the American Shane Preiswater in his article in Defense One.

In the same article, the author cites a statement by European Air Force Commander Jeffrey Harrigan, who said that such an attack should be carried out as a “multi-layered” strategy, basically involving impact on Russia’s air, water and land defense capabilities.

The use of modern warfare systems, such as e-war, would also play a significant role, but it should never be forgotten that the respondent also has similar ones, says the head of the Air Force for Europe.

The Americans say that such an electronic war would be successful if the operation involved B-21 bombers, which are in the process of testing, but the problem is that they must fall within the scope of air defense systems, and the chance of success is significantly reduced if this happened.

Back to the Russian expert Bizhiev, who continues on the topic, saying that “this is still an adequate air defense system, and not some hypothetical one, consistent with the balance of power of the United States and Europe”.

“This is a strategically important area. How do you expect our defense not to be significantly strengthened and supported not only by air defense systems, but also by the air force,” Bizhiev added.

As it has been written many times, Russia has two of the best air defense systems in the world – S-400 and S-500. Their advantage is not only in the increased perimeter of interception and descent of a flying object, but also in their radar system, which detects and intercepts stealth technological fighters.

The S-500 is an air defense system called by German military experts “the system that put Russia 10 years ahead of everyone else.” Recall that the United States complained that Moscow tested a hypersonic missile to shoot down satellites, and subsequently turned out to be tests of the S-500.

Polish experts also commented on the possible US attack and found that the Russians were right. “Exercises in the Western Military District have shown the location of the largest number of electronic warfare installations in the world, concentrated especially in the Kaliningrad region,” the Poles said.

Bizhiev concludes by saying that Russia is developing its weapons systems and tactics based on Moscow’s opponents, taking into account the commanding staff, air force and others. “All this is done with mathematical models, not a picture composition. American military experts need to dig deeper to get to the truth. However, our virtual simulations are not just for protection …” the Russian general concluded his analysis.

The subject of the dispute is the possibility that the United States will use one hundred or two hundred bombers to break through the air defense system of Kaliningrad, which is one of the pillars of Russian defense.

As we reported on September 22 the British Air Force has begun jamming the radar systems of Russia’s S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, which are located near Crimea.

According to Russian colleagues and information officially confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense near the border with Crimea, where these air defense systems are located, dozens of reconnaissance military aircraft have appeared.

Their main goal is to scan the Russian frequencies of the S-300 and S-400 systems by directing electronic effects, which will allow in the future easier identification of the vulnerability of Russia’s anti-aircraft systems.

It is a known fact that the S-400 is considered to be the best air defense system in the world and because of this (and others) causes Turkey, China, India and other countries buy this new Russian military technology. It should be recalled that the S-400 is a completely renewed S-300 system, with greater range and precise radar capable of detecting stealth technology aircraft.

If the British Air Force succeeds in scanning Russian frequencies, it would allow stealth fighters such as the F-22 and F-35 to approach at a closer distance in a region where these systems are deployed.

Journalists from the Russian edition of Voenni Novosti report that the scan in question was carried out in late August this year and, according to the author of the article, this is for the first time in history an ‘unprecedented operation to bring the Russian military into a defensive rather than attacking position’.

Military experts rule out the possibility of a possible future strike on Russia, but some conspiracy theorists say such a large-scale operation by the British Air Force means just that.

This is also of great importance, according to the expert, as the Russian S-400 and S-500 systems, which are in charge of Russia’s defense in various areas, work in an integrated mode and constantly exchange information about what is happening above them or near 400 km.
