This information is also confirmed by Major Mohammad Hossein Bakeri, who is the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army. His words were quoted by the local agency Tasnim.

Major Hossein made the statement during an official ceremony at the military museum, which contains a large number of objects and relics from the Iran-Iraq war, which led to Holy Week Week throughout the country.

“This year, Sacred Defense Week will mark the opening of dozens of defense projects and hundreds of construction projects,” the general said.

Iran promises to continue to take revenge on U.S. for the killed General Soleimani

The attack on US bases in Iraq was not the final revenge for the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, as we reported today [September 21 – ed.] citing news agency Krasnaya Vesna.

This was stated by the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami in an interview with Iranian media, excerpts from which RIA Novosti publishes.

“If the Americans want to fight with us, they must be in the region, they cannot wage war with us from outside the region,” he stressed. At the same time, Salami noted that when the US military is stationed in the region, they are everywhere under the supervision and sight of Iran.

“We are capable of simultaneously burning all their interests and bases in the region, we can seize all American bases. We can clean up the region,” says the commander of the IRGC.

As he explained, the operation, during which strikes were struck at American bases in Iraq, including Ain al-Assad, is not yet revenge for the death of Suleimani, but only the restoration of the psychological balance.

“The Americans have to pay for the death of the Iranian general, which they have not done yet. No country, including the United States, can now impose a war on Iran, and the statements of the head of the White House, Donald Trump, do not bother the Iranian authorities,” Salami summed up, adding that the aim of revenge for General Qasem Suleimani is only those who participated in his murder.

Recall that the head of the Al-Quds special unit of the IRGC, Qassem Soleimani, was killed on January 3, 2020 in Iraq, near Baghdad.

US President Donald Trump said that in this way he avenged the death of an American citizen who was killed in late December as a result of an Iranian rocket attack on a US military base in Kirkuk.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry called the elimination of Soleimani an act of international terrorism and promised Washington a crushing retaliation.
