Russia’s plan to build new warships infuriated the United States, China says

BEIHING, (BM) – Russia’s decision to start building several large warships at once turned out to be an unexpected US reaction. Such conclusions were made by analysts in the Chinese media, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

Some time ago, news came from Russia that surprised the world community, and made a particularly strong impression on the American military leadership. The latter was probably furious. Moscow has announced plans to launch six large and several dozen small ships in the next few years. According to Chinese journalists, no one expected this from the Russian Federation. This is reported by the Sohu edition.

“Russia has quite puzzled the United States with its plans,” the Sohu authors note.

The laying of two Project 23900 universal amphibious assault ships, the Admiral Yumashev and Admiral Spiridonov frigates, and the Voronezh and Vladivostok nuclear submarines took place in the Russian Federation. All these combat units will receive the most modern weapons, which will significantly increase the combat capability of the Russian Navy.

The decision of the Russian Federation came as a big surprise to Western states. This is due to the underestimation of Russians by the United States and its allies, which are promoting the theory of the economic weakness of Russians. They have always believed that Russia has no money to build large ships. As noted by Chinese analysts, the West began to forget about the rather curious ability of Russia to implement large projects for minimal funds.

“The Russian Federation has always managed to maintain its position as one of the largest military powers, even in spite of economic difficulties. The more power and capabilities it becomes, the more difficult it is for the United States to maintain its status as the main world hegemon. The Americans are especially worried that they have not been able to find an effective way to resist these processes,” added experts from the PRC.

Analysts predict that in the near future Russia should expect a new blow from the United States, which does not abandon its furious attempts to slow down the development of its opponents. The authors of Sohu hope that eventually the mind will take up and the Americans will not cross the dangerous line.

Russia is working on 5th generation submarines

The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) on its own initiative continues to work on the development of a nuclear submarine of the Husky project and a diesel submarine of the Kalina project, which belong to the 5th generation submarines, as we reported on September 9.

The developer of the Husky is the Malakhit Central Design Bureau, and the Kalina is the Rubin Central Design Bureau.

Nobody canceled these projects. We are continuing to develop them as part of what can be done proactively. There was a part of the work that was paid for by the Ministry of Defense, part of the work is now going on proactively. There are issues that can be solved with relatively little money and engineering work. But our options for spending net profit are also limited. We would very much like the decisions on promising fifth-generation boats to be made in the very near future,” RIA Novosti quotes the words of the head of the USC Alexei Rakhmanov.

Both projects – Husky and Kalina – are classified, so there is no official information about these submarines. Let us remind you that earlier Alexey Rakhmanov admitted that problems with serial production of Russian diesel-electric submarines of Project 677 “Lada” showed the correctness of the decision not to change diesel-electric submarines of Project 636 “Varshavyanka” on them.

In September 2020, information appeared that equipment suppliers had seriously delayed the delivery of two Project 677 Lada submarines. Until now, out of the three laid down submarines, only one, “St. Petersburg”, has been finally assembled, and the other two – “Kronstadt” and “Velikie Luki” – cannot be completed for more than 15 years.
