Russia will respond if Washington deploys troops on the Polish-Belarusian border

Russia will have to take tough measures if American troops appear on the Polish-Belarusian border. This opinion was expressed by experts from China on April 30 this year.

In the context of the confrontation between Russia and NATO, Poland and Belarus have come to the fore in recent years, the importance of which is growing rapidly. It’s no secret that Warsaw considers Moscow one of its main principled opponents, due to the complex history of relations between these states.

Between them was Minsk, which is a traditional ally of the Russian Federation. It is reported by Sohu. PolitRussia presents an exclusive translation of this article.

“Poland has serious support from the United States and some of its allies. Warsaw is interested in in-depth cooperation with the Americans and the deployment of large foreign military contingents on its territory. In Russia, such a position is called controversial, as it leads to a destabilization of the situation in the region,” the authors of Sohu said.

Russia has clear agreements with NATO regarding the deployment of foreign military personnel in Poland. The United States, apparently, wants to break them. They repeatedly stated their intentions to deploy ballistic missiles and bases on the borders with Belarus on Polish territory. In addition, military maneuvers are regularly held in the region regularly, and additional forces are being deployed, including heavy equipment.

“Obviously, Minsk is starting to get nervous. Options for strengthening the country’s defensive capabilities are being considered. There are also rumors that Russian missiles may appear in Belarus,” analysts added.

Against this background, Moscow made a tough but extremely effective decision. In the Kaliningrad region were deployed tactical missile systems “Iskander”. The deployment of such powerful weapons should cool the ardor of NATO, which is not comfortable with such a neighborhood.

Thus, the Russian Federation sent a signal to its opponents, warning them of the consequences of any rash actions and provocations. Minsk believes that as soon as American troops enter Poland, Russian nuclear missiles will be immediately directed in their direction.

“Moscow will be forced to act extremely tough,” summed up experts from China.

Earlier, media quoted the American intelligence veteran Scott Ritter, who stated that 2021 could be a decisive period in relations between Russia and the United States.
