US military convoy was subjected to an armed attack by militants in Iraq
BAGHDAD, (BM) – Militants attacked a convoy with supplies intended for a US military base in southern Iraq, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing RIA Novosti and a source from the Iraqi security service.
“Four wagons were subjected to an armed attack in the Najme region between Divaniya and Es Samava,” the source said. According to him, the citizens of Iraq, driving the trucks, transported supplies from Bosra for one of the US bases.
The militants attacked the convoy in pickup trucks and forced it to stop, after which they took the drivers out of the trucks and set fire to the vehicles, and then disappeared.
On July 6, it was reported that the US Embassy, which is located in the so-called “green zone” of Baghdad, fired rockets at Iraq. This happened a few hours after the Patriot conducted anti-aircraft missile complex (SAM) tests at the embassy. The tests caused discontent from Iraq.

This new attack in the Green Zone marks the third time in the past ten days that rockets have targeted this area inside Baghdad.

On June 11 also Baghdad’s Green Zone went under rocket fire on Wednesday evening. According to the local television station, the rocket fell near the headquarters of the joint operations command of the Iraqi armed forces. There is no data on victims and victims.

Iranian artillery was also involved in the Turkish operation in Iraq

The network explained that “the bombing started at nine in the morning,” adding that “drones were used in the bombing.”
For its part, the Kurdistan 24 channel reported that “reconnaissance planes flew over the area, and shortly after leaving the airspace, Iran launched a barrage of artillery shells at the border areas.” They said that the artillery shelling focused on the areas bordering Iran, in northeastern Erbil.
