“Yesterday, the US Embassy’s Defense Cooperation Directorate received more than $ 60 million worth of equipment to be handed over to Ukrainian partners, including walkie-talkies, ammunition and Javelin anti-tank missiles,” the statement said.

It should be noted that in 2020 the United States planned to spend about $ 250 million on military assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, the Pentagon notes that the country is a key US partner in the foreground of competition with Russia.

Earlier, the Ukrainian side requested military assistance from the United States in the form of coastal defense and sea-based anti-ship missile systems, coastal air defense systems, as well as additional anti-tank systems
