MOSCOW, (BM) – A large-scale military conflict between the DPRK and South Korea may well begin in the coming weeks or even days, as evidenced by the statement of official Pyongyang in which the South Korean authorities were promised military retaliation for insulting the country’s authorities and provocations organized in the border regions.

“Our invincible revolutionary army will carry out an act of retaliation for insulting our people, which has never been so indignant before,” Pyongyang said in an official statement.

Given the relations remaining cold between the DPRK and South Korea, experts express very serious fears that a new war could break out on the Korean peninsula, while Pyongyang will almost certainly not miss the chance to use nuclear weapons against Seoul.

“Despite the fact that Seoul is superior to Pyongyang with its latest weapons, the DPRK will not play by any rules and, if necessary, will simply deliver a large-scale strike, including with the use of nuclear weapons. As we have already seen, Seoul and its allies have no special means of fighting these missiles,” the specialist notes.

Analysts, in turn, draw attention to the fact that Seoul itself began provocations, despite protests from Pyongyang.
