“So, in April this year, one flight of B-1B strategic bomber aircraft was carried out along the Kamchatka Peninsula, and five such flights were recorded in May,” Rudskoy said.

He also noted that American planes were approaching a distance of 10 km from the air border of Russia in the Kaliningrad region.

Air defense systems of the Russian Federation in all cases carried out continuous control of foreign aircraft, as well as took all necessary measures to prevent incidents. The calculations of anti-aircraft missile defense systems were ready for immediate use in relation to violators of state borders, the head of the Main Operations Directorate emphasized.

Recall, on May 29, the air defense duty forces of the Russian Federation accompanied the strategic bombers of the US Air Force over the neutral waters of the Baltic and Black Sea.
