“The Americans openly declare that their military forces are stationed in Syria because there is oil. Of course, they will not remain in Syria and Iraq. They must leave these countries, and they will no doubt be forced to do it,” Tasnim quoted the Khamenei statement as saying.

According to Khamenei, official Washington suffered great reputation losses due to aggressive foreign policy and the desire to spread its influence around the world.

“Despite the huge funds that the Americans have allocated over the years to create a positive image, today the United States – the country and the regime – today, Americans are hated by much of the world,” Iran’s spiritual leader is convinced.

A limited US contingent has been located in Syria since 2015. The official reason for the introduction of troops is the fight against terrorism in the Syrian Arab Republic. In Iraq, US special forces have been performing various tasks since 2003, after another exacerbation of the armed conflict in the region.
