Putin: Russia possesses unique weapons that no one in the world has
MOSCOW, (BM) – Russia has unique types of weapons that no country in the world has yet, thanks to fundamental science.
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking about the importance of fundamental science in an interview with the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin ”on Saturday, May 16th, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
“This is a fact that is absolutely obvious,” Putin said, adding that without scientific schools and engineering personnel this would be “absolutely impossible”.
On February 23, the Russian leader promised that the Russian army and navy would be equipped with the latest weapons, including laser and hypersonic systems, as well as high-precision systems.
He noted that we are talking about “weapons of the future”, some of which are unparalleled in the world.
In November last year, Putin announced the need to create a state armament program until 2033. He called for its formation to begin in 2020.
Recall that the US President Donald Trump said yesterday that the United States is currently working on a missile that will fly 17 times faster than the current missiles.
“We call it a super-duper missile. And I heard that it is 17 times faster than what it is now,” Trump said in the White House.
According to him, at the same time, Russia has missiles 5 times faster than conventional ones, and China is developing missiles that can move 5-6 times faster than existing models. Without specifying which missiles he had in mind, Trump emphasized that the US-developed missile is the fastest in the world.
