The US Watkins landing ship is heading to the coast of Venezuela

WASHINGTON, (BM) – A few hours ago, experts who monitor the situation in the seas informed about the advancement of the US “USNS Watkins” with military equipment and ammunition on board to the borders of Venezuela, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing news agency Evening courier.

The media believes that the United States will make another attempt to arrange a coup in this country and overthrow the legitimate government. The last attempt, observers say, was successfully thwarted by the military of Venezuela, as well as, as several sources reported, by Russian troops.

“Experts believe that if an American warship tries to enter the territorial waters of Venezuela or arrange the slightest provocation, it will immediately be sunk – Venezuela has enough weapons to carry out such a task,” AviaPro writes.

Analysts, commenting on the dispatch of the ship, say that the worst of the scenarios is an open military confrontation between Venezuela, the United States and Colombia, to which the Russian Federation and the PRC can eventually join. In the United States, no one has commented on the dispatch of a warship with vehicles and weapons to the shores of Venezuela.

BulgarianMilitary.com recalls that on May 4 according the head of the National Constituent Assembly (NUS) of Venezuela Diosdado Cabello, eight mercenaries who tried to enter the country from the sea were destroyed by servicemen of the armed forces of the Bolivarian Republic.

Then, according to GPS tracks, it became known that the mercenaries advanced from Colombia and had to land in the state of La Guaira, near the capital of the state. According to Cabello, the detachment’s goal was to carry out terrorist attacks in the republic.

“Intelligence received information about a planned invasion from the sea to Venezuela. It was undertaken by people on several speed boats. The armed forces of the republic, which had already been put on high alert, repelled the attack. Eight mercenaries were killed, two were detained, weapons were seized,” the head of the NUS said.
