A Russian guided missile for UAVs will carry a thermobaric warheads

MOSCOW, (BM) – Russia developed Grom guided missile with thermobaric warheads, learned BulgarianMilitary.com according ‘Tactical Missile Arms’ company statement.

The Grom (Thunder) missile was called a real breakthrough, because it can be sent to targets from a distance of 120 kilometers. I.e. the aerial vehicle, which will launch the missile, does not run the risk of falling into the range of the enemy’s missile defense forces.

According Russian news agency Izvestia the Russian drone drone “Okhotnik” and “Altius” are going to expand their arsenal with Grom guided missile, which are capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 100 kilometers.

According to Izvestia, citing sources in the military-industrial complex, tests have already been conducted to dump mass-size models from the Okhotnik UAV.

The heavy planning munitions, which are called “sniper”, are superior to the reachable adjustable bombs, which are armed with Russian aviation. Those are able to fly no more than 9 kilometers.

Experts believe that the Groms will help drones destroy enemy targets at a distance – for example, if you want to hit the positions of intermediate and shorter-range missiles.

According to sources from military indusrty in Russian Federation the most interesting is one of the missile modification. I.e. the guided missile has thermobaric warheads that pierce particularly fortified targets.
