US military actions against Venezuela threaten the peace in Latin America
HAVANA, (BM) – The US military operation poses a serious threat to peace in Latin America, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla said on April 2, learned BulgarianMilitary.com according to TeleSUR.
“The military operation announced by the US government, which includes the deployment of warships near Venezuela and the movement of special forces, poses a serious threat to the peace of the region. The alleged fight against drug trafficking is just a convenient excuse,” Rodriguez wrote on his Twitter page.

Analysts, following Trump and his national security adviser O’Brien, emphasize that the military operation announced by U.S. President Donald Trump does target Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in yet another attempt to attack the Bolivarian Revolution and its main leaders.
As part of a strategy to destabilize Caracas, Washington has offered millions of dollars to those who provide “data” on the alleged relationship between President Maduro and the team with illegal activities.
It was after this that the White House decided to double the number of military personnel under the pretext of combating the production and distribution of drugs from Latin America.
Recall, according to the Trump administration, in this operation they are trying to “prevent the import of illegal drugs into the United States and protect the citizens” of their country.
However, many in the United States claim that if the White House really sought a solution to this problem, it would focus on solving the problem of drug use in the vast US market. In Washington’s new attempt to intervene in the affairs of Venezuela, the South American country’s oil reserves may be the most likely cause.

Recall, the former director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Pino Arlacchi, said that for 40 years of his anti-drug investigations, he did not come across information that discredited Venezuela. According to him, the main country producing cocaine is Colombia.
Note that in Colombia there are seven US military bases.
