It is alleged that military transport aircraft, delivering military personnel and instructors, land on the base. The transfer is associated with the decision to begin a real fight against the Shiite groups operating in Iraq.
A few days ago, the American newspaper The New York Times reported that the US Department of Defense has instructed the headquarters of the Central Command of the American Army and the Iraqi contingent to prepare a plan to end the pro-Iranian Kataib Hezbollah group, a member of the Al-Hashd al-Shaabi Alliance.
The publication notes that in the US command there are opponents of such an operation. Among them is the commander of US forces in Iraq, Lieutenant General Robert White. The military leader believes that it will be associated with tangible losses and will be inconclusive.

It is an operation, according to the leadership of Shiite groups, that explains the withdrawal of American troops from three bases where they were deployed. In anticipation of retaliatory attacks by Shiite militants, soldiers are being transferred to bases that are easier to defend, including through missile defense.
