Hezbollah: ‘The fight against coronavirus is even harder than the war against Israel’

BEIRUT, (BM) – Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist group, has already delivered a second speech on the coronavirus pandemic, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing News.co.il.

According to him, this topic seems to him especially important, especially since the Ministry of Health is in the hands of Hezbollah.

Nasrallah said the fight against coronavirus is even harder than the 2006 war against Israel. He also sharply criticized the banking system and entrepreneurs, urging them to use the funds to help Lebanon and its healthcare system in difficult times.

Many blame Hezbollah for causing the epidemic in Lebanon to be the group’s close collaboration with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Earlier it was reported that among those who brought the infection to Lebanon, there were also members of a high-ranking Iranian delegation that visited the country of cedars in mid-February.

About two weeks ago, Lebanese media reported that coronavirus was detected in Nasrallah himself. It was alleged that it could not function normally. Hezbollah did not comment on these reports.

At the same time, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, spoke at a cabinet meeting. He praised both the actions of the authorities and the consciousness of Iranian citizens and noted that this was a real achievement of the country.

“The fight against the virus brought not only suffering. A national unity has arisen, which we must maintain. We have found a powerful source of strength that will bring many benefits to everyone,” the president said.

He also called for thinking about the impact of tougher quarantine on Iranian society. “Health is important to us, but economics are important, public confidence is important. And now is not the time to form camps and seek followers. We need to forget about political conflicts,” he added.

Rouhani noted a tendency to improve the situation, but said that the way out of the crisis would be gradual. He noted that the situation in Iran is much better than in many Western countries.
