A Russian S-400 anti-aircraft system hit hypersonic targets

MOSCOW, (BM) – An anti-aircraft missile regiment stationed in Primorye hit hypersonic targets with the S-400 during the exercises at the Telemb range in Buryatia, the press service of the Eastern Military District (BBO) said, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

“During the conduct of combat firing, more than a dozen targets were destroyed, which were Armavir-type target missiles and Favorit type intelligent hypersonic [targets]. All targets were hit,”– said in the district, reports TASS.

The servicemen also fired from the Shell-C2 air defense system.

Before firing anti-aircraft gunners passed tests for admission to combat launches on targets, after the exercises, the regiment received a rating of “excellent”, added to the BBO.

The S-400 Triumph is a Russian long- and medium-range anti-aircraft missile system, it can hit air attack and reconnaissance systems, including stealth aircraft and other air targets in conditions of intense fire and electronic countermeasures.

The Pantsir-S air defense missile system is designed for short-range air defense and for covering civilian and military installations, including long-range air defense systems.

In February, more than 1,000 military personnel from air defense units from the Amur Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Khabarovsk Territory launched exercises at the Telembo training ground (Republic of Buryatia) to repel a missile attack and a drone attack.
