Russian special forces destroyed a sabotage group off the coast of Syria
TARTUS, (BM) – According to Lebanese news agency Al Masdar News, Russian warships found a sabotage group near the Russian base of the Navy in Tartus, which planned to conduct sabotage, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
The enemy’s high-speed boat was pinched in the port of Tartus, and when trying to resist, the sabotage group was “destroyed” by Russian special forces.
We are talking about conducting special exercises aimed at both ensuring the security of the Syrian maritime borders and ensuring the security of the Russian Navy base on the territory of the Arab Republic.
According to the statement, the anti-sabotage units “conducted the planned exercises in order to work out ways to detect and detain the sabotage group of the simulated enemy. ”
During the exercises, the crew of the anti-sabotage boat Grachok discovered an identified high-speed boat that did not respond to requests and continued to move, ignoring the requirements to stop for inspection. Anti-sabotage boats “Rook” and patrol boats “Raptor” with combat divers were involved in operations to detain the ship.
According to the Black Sea Fleet, a speedboat was blocked in the port of Tartus, but members of his team resisted and were eliminated by the anti-sabotage group. Six Grachonok and Raptor boats, and about 50 military personnel participated in the exercises, the Arab publication reports.
It should be noted that previously unknown persons carried out two sabotage off the coast of Syria, as a result of which oil pipelines were damaged.
