A missile strike was carried out on a US-led coalition military base in Iraq
BAGDHAD, (BM) – A missile strike was carried out on March 17 on the territory of a military base in Iraq, on which the forces of the United States-led international coalition are located, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing Al Arabia news agency.
According to the channel, it is about the military base of Basmay in southern Baghdad. The base was attacked by at least two missiles. No casualties or possible damage as a result of the shelling have been reported.
As we reported, last week the Iraqi military base of Al-Taji, on which the US military is located, was subjected to missile attacks twice. During the confrontation, three US soldiers died.
After the incident, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo demanded that the Iraqi authorities be more careful about protecting the coalition headed by the United States and fighting ISIS (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation).
Terrorist acts in Iraq using explosives and firearms. Attacks accompanied by a large number of victims are carried out against civilians, law enforcement officers, and diplomatic missions of other states.
The responsibility for part of the attacks was claimed by ISIS.
A common tactic is to undermine mined cars, as well as suicide bombings. Explosions are heard in mosques, markets, restaurants, during the funeral.
