The same information was confirmed by a source in the Russian regional power department.

According to the source, the latest Russian electronic warfare systems are being tested in Crimea and “as a result, NATO ships are deploying and leaving.”

EW actions block the operation of reconnaissance equipment. In addition, ship navigational systems also collapse, disorienting their crews, interfering with “attempts to penetrate Russian communication and digital networks.”

Recall, on December 24, 2019, a statement was made by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu that NATO forces are implementing a new anti-Russian concept to increase the combat readiness of troops.

NATO ships approaching the Russian borders in the Black Sea near the Crimea to study the operation of radio equipment, a Russian military expert said.

“They are interested in the frequencies of our radio equipment, communication capabilities, radar (radar equipment – ed.), The same electronic warfare (electronic warfare equipment – ed.). So they go and study,” the expert told He noted that NATO ships do not enter the territorial waters of Russia, so weapons cannot be used on them. “Therefore, we use the so-called non-lethal methods. EW, flying around with your planes, both reconnaissance and strike,” he also added.

According to a military expert, Russian ships perform the same tasks, only off the coast where NATO bases are located. He emphasized that exploration and exploration is a common practice for the fleet. “We act in a similar way. And often more actively. Recently, several incidents have been recorded with our ships that violate the rules of navigation during such tracking,”.
