Russian Su-57 will not be able to shoot down F-22 or F-35 from a long distance
MOSCOW, (BM) – Experts analyzed the combat characteristics of the Su-57 weapons and concluded that it would not be able to hit the F-22 or F-35 from a distance of several hundred kilometers, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
The Military-Industrial Courier publication writes that launching missiles from the Su-57 at such a great distance will not be successful and they are unlikely to hit the target. The radar mounted on the Su-57 may detect the coordinates of American fighters, but they will be approximate.
On the Su-57 is the Belka antenna radiation station. It works in centimeter as well as L-band. This equipment allows the pilot only to prepare for a meeting with the enemy, but it is not effective for ultra-long missiles.
But at the same time, the H036 Squirrel, according to experts of the publication, is better in technical specifications than the AN / APG-77 radar installed on the F-22. On the F-35 there is a radar, which many consider the best in the world.
Western experts say that the Su-57 has a number of problems with sensors and key systems, which caused the accident of the first production model of this fighter, which occurred at the end of last year. Therefore, developers continue to improve this fighter.
