North Korea launched two missiles; Shells fired from Gaza; Haftar’s delegation in Syria

South Korea announced the launch of the DPRK of two missiles in the direction of the Sea of Japan
DPRK launched on Monday two unidentified shells in the direction of the Sea of Japan.
According to the agency, the launch was made from the area of the city of Wonsan.
This is the first such launch since the beginning of 2020. In December last year, DPRK leader Kim Jong-un announced that his country would soon introduce new strategic weapons.
Mortar fired from Gaza towards Israel, hours before elections
A mortar shell was fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel on Sunday evening, but fell within Gaza, according to an IDF spokesperson. The attack comes just ten hours before polls open for the 23rd Knesset elections.
Locals reported hearing an explosion in the area. An alert was activated in open areas near the border. No group has claimed responsibility for the mortar fire.
Palestinian media reported on Sunday that the Hamas terrorist groups had sent delegations to Moscow and Cairo. The delegation in Cairo is set to discuss recent clashes and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip with Egyptian officials.
The Hamas delegation to Moscow is headed by Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and will discuss US President Donald Trump’s “Deal of the Century” Middle East peace plan and Russia’s role in supporting Palestinian rights, among other issues. A delegation headed by the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist group is also planning on visiting Moscow, but an exact date has not been announced.
Libyan delegation arrives in Syria to discuss Idlib
A Libyan delegation affiliated to the government of the Libyan commander Khalifa Haftar has arrived in the Syrian capital of Damascus on Saturday to discuss the situation in the country’s north-western region of Idlib.
Libyan News Agency (LANA) reported that the delegation had included the Haftar government’s Prime Minister, Abdul-Rahman Al-Ahiresh, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul-Hadi Al-Hawaij. The delegation was received at the Damascus International Airport by the Syrian deputy foreign minister, Faisal Miqdad, and the ministry’s director Arab world affairs, Milad Attia.
The delegation met with the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and discussed cooperation between the two countries “in countering the Turkish moves and combating terrorism.”
Other local sources said that the visit was aiming at “coordinating cooperation between the two government on the political and security levels.”
