A Russian-made MiG-29K fighter jet by Indian Air force crashed
NEW DELHI, (BM) – The MiG-29K crashed in Indian Goa during a training flight, the pilot is alive, learned BulgarianMilitary.com according a spokesman for the Indian Navy statement.
“This morning around 10.30 a MiG-29 crashed near Goa, performing an ordinary training flight. The pilot of the aircraft safely ejected,” a Navy spokesman said on Twitter.
He noted that an investigation was ordered into the incident.
The previous MiG-29K accident in India occurred in November 2019 after taking off from Goa Airport due to a bird falling into the aircraft engine.
BulgarianMilitary.com recalls that in July last year a MiG-29 aircraft of the Azerbaijani Air Force crashed during training flights.
