Russian fighter jets have intercepted a Turkish F-16 over Aleppo
ALEPPO, (BM) – A few hours ago it became known that the Turkish F-16 fighter plane violated Syrian airspace, entering the northern part of the Arab Republic, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, citing several local sources and news agency AviaPro.
As soon as a Turkish fighter entered Syrian airspace, Russian combat aircraft were urgently lifted from the Khmeimim airbase, which not only did not allow attacks on Syrian territory, but also forced the Turkish pilot out of the SAR airspace.
It should be clarified that this is far from the first case when Turkish combat aircraft violate the airspace of the Arab Republic and pose a threat of striking at the Syrian and Russian military.
In particular, about a day ago a similar situation was already observed, but in the sky over the province of Idlib, at the same time, Russian combat aircraft also threatened to use weapons made the Turkish pilot retreat.
Experts say that Moscow has not yet given the Syrian military the go-ahead for the use of air defense equipment on Turkish aircraft, however, this may very well happen in the near future, but at the same time, the situation in the region will sharply worsen
“If Ankara wants exacerbations in Syria, it will receive it. With a great desire, the Pantsir-S air defense missile system alone will be enough to repel a large-scale attack by the Turkish Air Force, however, Damascus also has such trump cards as the S-200 and S-300, capable of hitting air targets from hundreds of kilometers away “, some specialists comment.
