Iran has obtained the secret codes of a US strategic intelligence drone

TEHRAN, (BM) – The commander of the aerospace forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said that his country uses technology to neutralize the US strategic reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) RQ-4, “even if they are thousands of kilometers from Iranian borders “, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, quoting EurAsia Daily.

General Hajizadeh made this statement in an interview with Iranian state television.

On June 20, 2019, the IRGC shot down an American RQ-4 Global Hawk UAV in the Ko-e-Mobarak region of the southern province of Hormozgan after the drone violated Iranian airspace.

RQ-4 can fly at high altitudes offline for more than 30 hours, collecting information from vast sea and land spaces in real time and under any weather conditions, the Tehran publication explains.

According to Hajizadeh, recently in the southern waters of Iran were discovered new parts of an American drone shot down in June.

Recall, on June 20 last year, an American reconnaissance drone was shot down in the airspace of Iran. According to Iranian authorities, the incident occurred over the province of Hormozgan in the south of the country.

It was alleged that the drone violated Iranian airspace in the Strait of Hormuz, where it was engaged in collecting information and surveillance, after which it was shot down by Iranian air defense forces. US President Donald Trump said June 21 that he canceled a military strike on Iran, as this would be a “disproportionate attack” that could lead to the deaths of about 150 people.
