Syrian army launched an artillery attack on militants in Idlib

DAMASCUS, (BM) – Syrian Arab Army (SAA) forces launched an artillery attack on militants in Idlib, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, quoting Vzglyad and local Syrian sources.

SAA and allied forces “took the enemy by surprise” by striking artillery and MLRS against militants in Idlib; aircraft bomb terrorist sites in the east of the province, according to the FAN, citing a military source in Syria, Ahmad Marzuk.

It is noted that the shelling of the SAA by militants in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib forced local residents to leave their homes.

Earlier, Russia warned of militants preparing a chemical weapons provocation in Idlib.

Prior to this, it was reported that Syrian government troops took control of three settlements, which are located south of the city of Maarat al-Numan in the province of Idlib.
