Russia has developed a new helicopter for special forces needs

MOSCOW, (BM) – According to a source, the developed combat aerial vehicle will become an intermediate link on the way from Mi-8 to a promising helicopter, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, quoting Voennoe Delo.

Russian Helicopters Holding has developed a new version of the Mi-8AMTSH-VN special-purpose helicopter with enhanced combat equipment. This information is reported by TASS, referring to a statement by the director of the holding Andrey Boginsky.

In the summer of 2019, a contract was signed between Russian Helicopters and the Ministry of Defense for the supply of ten Mi-8AMTSH-VN helicopters in the basic version for special forces and Special Operations Forces of the Russian Federation.

According to the director of the holding, the upgraded version of the combat aerial vehicle has advanced capabilities of additional equipment. In particular, an improvement was made in the means of destruction, detection and recognition of the target.
