Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubair, speaking in the European Parliament with a report on the situation in the country, unexpectedly said that the American missile defense was useless.

Since 2015, the complexes missed 300 missiles and 100 drones launched by Yemeni rebels.

At the same time, the missiles were not modern, but were copies of the Soviet X-55 cruise missile. Although 88 launchers are currently covering the territory of Saudi Arabia (36 of them have the PAC-2 modification, another 52 are the latest PAC-3), for the entire time since 2015, the Saudis have never reported a successfully repelled attack from Yemen.

Earlier, Riyadh had never voiced or hid information about the work of American missile defense, but apparently the Saudis were already tired of covering up the Americans, and such a message in the European Parliament, at the Ministry level, undermines the credibility of American weapons.

Earlier, the Americans explained that missile defense could not detect missiles, since they have low efficiency in combating small targets and cruise missiles. It has also been suggested that radar antennas were not correctly tuned and did not see low-flying targets. But then the question arises, why are these complexes needed at all.
