Chinese analogue of Russian S-300 missile system has been delivered to Syria

DAMASCUS, (BM) – The Chinese news agency Sohu has confirmed the fact that the Syrian military has transferred the air defense and missile defense systems of the PRC, similar to the Russian S-300 air defense systems, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, according informational agency Sohu.

The systems have been handed over to the Syrian army a little over a year ago, but which have not yet participated in attacks on enemy aircraft.

The effective detection range of this radar reaches 320 km. The main goal is round-the-clock monitoring and the provision of accurate navigation data. In addition to this, JY-27VHF long-range surveillance radars are used in conjunction with them.
