S-400 missile launches will take place in August; Russian army will receive 300 tanks
MOSCOW, (BM) – S-400 calculations will conduct combat missile launches from a firing range in the Astrakhan region in August, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, according the press service of the Central Military District (CVO) statement.
“The S-400 calculations, deployed in the Volga regions, in August 2020 will conduct exercises with combat missile launches at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region,” the report said.
In turn, Major General Sergei Tikhonov, the commander of the 76th Air Defense Division of the Central Military District, who is quoted in a press release, said that more than 30 major combat training events are planned in the 2020 training period.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Army General Sergei Shoigu said that in 2020 the Russian Air Force will receive four regiment sets of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.

The press service of the Central Military District also said that ground forces of the Russian Federation will receive in 2020 over 300 units of armored vehicles.
“In 2020, more than 300 units of armored vehicles will go to units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the report said.
The press service specified that the units will receive T-72B3M, T-90M, T-80BVM tanks, as well as BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, BTR-82A and BTR-82AM armored personnel carriers. Deliveries will be made as part of the execution of the state defense order.
“The enterprises of the military-industrial complex will transfer to the Russian Ministry of Defense modern models of armored vehicles that have successfully proven themselves when used in various climatic zones,” the Ministry of Defense specified.
