Russia creates subsonic sixth-generation unmanned strategic bomber
MOSCOW, (BM) – Russia will create a sixth-generation unmanned strategic bomber, Lieutenant General Sergey Kobylash, has learned BulgarianMilitary.com according commander of the Long-Range Aviation of the Russian Air Force statement.
“Further development of long-range aviation is carried out not only through the modernization of the Tu-160, Tu-95MS, Tu-22MZ bombers with an extension of their service life, but also by creating a promising long-range aviation complex,” the Komsomolskaya Pravda reports the words of the commander .
Kobylash added that it was also a fifth-generation strategic bomber that would be subsonic. However, the commander did not name the date of its creation.
Recall, December 18, Deputy Defense Minister Aleksey Krivoruchko said that the promising long-range aviation complex (PAK YES) will enter the arsenal of the Air Force until the end of the current state armament program (2027).
“Under the state arms program, units of modern military and special equipment, which are not inferior to the best foreign analogues and often have no analogues in the world, will enter operational service in the period until 2027. Borei-A strategic missile submarines, the Prospective Aviation Complex of Long-Range Aviation, and strategic missile systems — both fixed and mobile — will enter operational service with the strategic nuclear forces.” Aleksey Krivoruchko said.
