The launch of the Russia’s Iskander ballistic missile (video)

MOSCOW, (BM) – The Ministry of Defense published a video of the training and combat launch of a ballistic missile of the Iskander operational-tactical missile complex (OTRK), made from the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan Region.

Shooting was carried out on a target that simulated a fortified enemy command post located 60 kilometers from the launch site. The target was successfully destroyed, reports RIA Novosti.

Also during the exercises, the combat guard groups blocked the attackers and suppressed the main firing points, enabling the column of launchers to break into the place of the starting positions.

The exercises involved the calculations of the missile brigade of the Guards Combined Arms Army ZVO, deployed in the Kursk region. In total, more than 1.2 thousand troops and about 300 units of weapons and military equipment took part in the maneuvers.
