The losses of both the MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-9A Predator-B UAVs have been officially confirmed by the Air Force Command of Italy and the US Air Force Command in Europe.

According to a number of media, both UAVs were shot down by the Russian anti-aircraft rocket launcher (SAMP) Panzer-C1E, which is armed with General Haftar’s army. The complexes were shipped to Libya from the UAE, which had previously purchased them from Russia.
