Russia is Training a Missile Attack Over Ukraine and has Tactical Groups to Invade in the Country
KIYEV, (BM) – Russian strategic Tu-22M3 bombers have been training missile strikes in Ukraine this summer, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, quoting Pan.bg.
This was said by the commander of the Ukrainian Navy Admiral Igor Voronchenko at the third international conference on maritime security of the Black Sea countries, reports Duma. According to Voronchenko, the aircraft made a conditional launch 60 km from Odessa and then turned to the Bosphorus. The exercises, which the commander called provocative, were held on July 10, he said.
In his report, Voronchenko also said that Russia is increasing its military presence in the Black Sea. According to 2014 estimates, the number of vessels in the Russian Black Sea Fleet has increased from 34 to 49, including submarines – from one to seven. In addition, as the speech of the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy shows, Russia is constantly changing the composition of the Crimean population, displacing up to 100,000 people in the last year.
Up to 30 battalion tactical groups are in “constant readiness to invade Ukraine,” Voronchenko claims. The Military Conference and diplomats from the countries of the Black Sea region, as well as the USA, Great Britain, Norway, Sweden participate in the international conference on maritime security of the Black Sea countries. It discusses issues related to Russian politics, the newspaper explains.
