Russia Plans to Unveil the New TOS-2 Heavy Flamethrower System Next Year
MOSCOW, (BM) – The Russian Defense Ministry plans to show the new TOS-2 heavy flamethrower system at the parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory and send it to the troops, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
This was announced by the chief of the troops of the chemical, biological and radiation protection of the RF Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.
“To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Victory in World War II, the development of the TOS-2 heavy flamethrower system and its delivery to the troops should be completed. It is planned that this combat vehicle will take part in the parade on Red Square,” he said in an interview with the newspaper Krasnaya star”.
According to Kirillov, the rearmament of the radiation, chemical and biological protection units is proceeding according to plan. He stressed that in 2019, the troops will receive 350 units of special equipment, including thermal smoke machines and remote control aerosol countermeasures
On November 13, troops celebrate 101 years from the date of foundation.
