US Intelligence Has Missed the Delivery and Test of S-500 Systems in Syria

MOSCOW, (BM) – The message that Russia has tested the promising S-500 Prometheus air defense system in Syria is actually delivering another blow to the military authority of the United States, including the authority of US intelligence.

Another – in the sense that the USA’s authority was pretty much lost after the well-known attacks on the objects of the Saudi oil industry: not a single drones and not one of the cruise missiles were intercepted by American-made complexes in service with the Saudi army.

Now – a new, unpleasant for the “hawks” of the USA and American allies, a surprise. It is connected specifically with C-500, whose test data in Syria are published with reference to sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense and the military-industrial complex.

The fact is that earlier Western or Israeli media were usually the first to publish statements and upload satellite images of the deployment of certain Russian weapons in the Syrian Arab Republic. This was the case with equipping with the creation of the Khmeimim air force base of the Russian Air Forces, the same happened with the deployment by the Syrian side of the S-300 air defense system in the area of Masyaf.

Now the situation is fundamentally different. It turns out that foreign intelligence missed not only the moment Prometheus was delivered to Syria, but also the stages of its deployment for testing, as well as the testing itself. In turn, this means that the operation related to the C-500 tests (probably the radar of the complex) was carried out by Russian specialists, including the military, at a level close to perfect in terms of efficiency and secrecy.

Perhaps US intelligence is now first of all immersed in the subject of decoding telephone conversations between President Trump and foreign colleagues. Not until the C-500 tests … Or, perhaps, US intelligence now focuses on Russian tests only if they fail, as in the case of tests in the Arkhangelsk region.
