BAE Systems Was Awarded a $242M Contact for OT-225 IRS and AN/AAR-57 Missile Warning System

WASHINGTON, (BM) – BAE Systems was awarded a $242,251,919 hybrid contract for systems engineering, integration, logistics, and other technical support services for the OT-225 Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures System and the AN/AAR-57(V) Common Missile Warning System, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

The Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM) laser-based system protects fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft from missile attacks. Whether stand-alone, or layered with flares, the system provides advanced aircraft protection during routine and complex missions. These include normal take-off and landing, assault, attack, re-supply, rescue, and forward arming and refueling missions.

CMWS provides missile warning for rotary-and fixed-wing aircraft.
