Russia and North Korea Will Develop Bilateral Military Cooperation

PYONGYANG, (BM) – Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin and North Korean Minister of Defence General of the Army No Gwan Chhol discussed a plan of military cooperation of the two countries during the meeting in Pyongyang, learned, according MoD of the Russian Federation statement.

General of the Army No Gwan Chhol stressed out that “I consider this visit as an important demonstration of Russian-Korean friendship and its strength and also it shows the development of bilateral military cooperation on higher level in accordance with obligations of our era”.

No Gwan Chhol expressed hope for a right impression about North Korea from the visit of Russian delegation to the military unit.

In his turn, Russian Deputy Minister thanked No Gwan Chhol for his call to visit North Korea.

Alexander Fomin said that Russian and Korean Ministries of Defence has common plan of bilateral cooperation.

“And I hope that this plan will develop in the future. There is a huge set of important events. There is a communication between general staffs, constant visits of delegations, education exchange between Russian and North Korean military educational institutions,” – Russian Deputy Minister stated.
