Estonia Has Signed an Agreement to Acquire Spike Anti-Tank Guided Missiles for €40 Million

TALLINN, (BM) – The Estonian Ministry of Defense has signed a framework agreement with Eurospike to acquire Rafael-made Spike anti-tank guided missiles for €40 million (approx. $45 million), learned, quoting Israel Defense.

The initial purchase will include 18 launchers and ammunitions, as well as additional equipment, technical support and training.

The Center for Defense Investment (RKIK), the state body responsible for defense procurement on behalf of the Estonian Defense Forces (EDF) and other organizations, and representatives of Eurospike signed the framework agreement for the procurement on Thursday.

Baltic News Service reported that the seven-year agreement includes the option of buying additional units.

The weapons will be delivered to the Estonian Defense Forces beginning in the third quarter of 2020 and will be used by infantry brigade anti-tank companies.
