The Bulgarian Special Forces Participate In the Exercise “Decisive Strike 2019” In North Macedonia
SKOPIE, (BM) – Chief of Defence, General Andrey Botsev, and the commander of the Special Operations Forces, Brigadier General Yavor Mateev, will watch today, June 17, the final stage of the international exercise Decisive Strike 2019 in Krivolak, North Macedonia, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

Decisive Strike 2019 takes place from June 6th to June 18th at the Krivolak Training Area under the joint command of the Commands of the Land Forces of the Republic of North Macedonia and the National Guard of the State of Pennsylvania, USA.
In the exercise participate formations from the Special Operations Forces of Bulgaria, Albania, Lithuania and Montenegro. Head of the Bulgarian Special Operations Forces group of the 68th Special Forces Brigade, which is involved in the exercise, is Captain Tsvetomir Iliev.

The purpose of Decisive Strike 2019 is improvement of the interaction and interoperability between the participants in the preparation and conduct of joint special operations. The focus is on the conducting of an airborne infiltration by helicopter and medical evacuation.
