Russia Has Made a Test Launch of the New Missile Defence System (Video)

MOSCOW, (BulgarianMilitary.com) – The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has published a video of a test launch of a new missile defence system (MDS), learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

The tests were conducted at the Sary Shagan anti-ballistic missile testing range located in Kazakhstan. The footage shows how the missile is deployed and prepared for launch. The moment of the launch can be seen from several angles.

According to the Deputy Commander of the Russian missile defence troops, Colonel Vladimir Sergienko, the missile has hit the conditional target with the specified accuracy, confirming all the set features.

The Russian missile defence system (PRO) is in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) as it has been necessary for protection against aerial-space attacks.
