The world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defence, space and security systems, Boeing, announced today that the company will start integrating new data analytics tools into all Boeing Defence Australia support contracts and in this way it will enhance its position as a leading fleet services provider in the region, learned BulgarianMilitary.com

The Boeing AnalytX systems, involving new technologies designed by Boeing in Australia, include a platform-agnostic data analytics engine using international and local fleet data to provide predictive maintenance insights.

Australia’s CH-47F Chinook fleet will be among the first that will be use the new capabilities as reported by the integrated services and support general manager at Boeing Defence Australia Murray Brabrook.

Brabrook stated, “This technology will give the Australian Defence Force access to more platform data than ever before – enabling Boeing to increase fleet readiness, safety and reliability while lowering maintenance costs,” and added, “Our maintainers and engineers can now take advantage of huge quantities of operational data from large international fleets, like the Chinook, and translate those data patterns into strategic insights for a local fleet of 10.”

Boeing Defence Australia is able to easily incorporate analytics tools on airborne, ground-based and maritime Boeing and non-Boeing systems for customers throughout the region by developing this expertise domestically.
